FAQs
Frequently asked questions
What are compatible cartridges?
Brand-new cartridges (never refilled) manufactured to ISO standards to match the original's specification — same page yield, same print quality, fitted with the correct chip so your printer recognises it exactly like the original. They simply aren't made by the printer manufacturer, which is why they cost up to 80% less.
Will it definitely fit my printer?
Yes — that's the point of our printer finder. Pick your brand, series and model and we only ever show cartridges guaranteed to fit. Every product page also lists every compatible printer.
Will a compatible cartridge void my printer's warranty?
No. By law, printer manufacturers cannot void your warranty because you used a compatible cartridge. On top of that, our Printer Protection Guarantee covers the printer itself in the unlikely event one of our cartridges causes a fault. Read the full guarantee (PDF).
How much is delivery?
Free on every order, no minimum. Order before 3pm Monday–Friday for same-day dispatch; tracked delivery typically takes 1–2 working days.
What if a cartridge is faulty?
Email orders@cartridgesonline.co.uk with your order number and a photo of the batch number sticker on the cartridge — we'll ship a free replacement the same day. Every own-brand cartridge carries a 1-year warranty.
Can I return a cartridge I don't need?
Unopened and in brand-new condition, yes — within 30 days for a full refund or exchange.
Do you show VAT?
All prices include VAT, with the ex-VAT figure shown on every product page. VAT invoices are available for every order.
Do you supply businesses, schools and the NHS?
Yes — same low prices for everyone, plus 30-day credit accounts for approved organisations and purchase orders accepted from NHS trusts, councils and schools. See business accounts.
How do I know when my order has shipped?
You'll get a branded confirmation email when you order, and a shipping email with a live tracking link the moment it's dispatched.
